Reviews Of Goodwill Bin Salt Lake City:

Fettuchini FettuBrandon Cordero
I really love goodwill bin stores near me especially this one in salt lake city. I’ve gotten great finds. I mainly look for stationary stuff (greeting cards, collage paper, stickers, yarn, and other artsy supplies). Warning: most of the time when I go I encounter a couple rude people (every now and then) that don’t have any sense of personal space or basic manners. I think this is such a good place if you have the energy to look through the whole store for like 3 hours, so overall I’m addicted to going to this place.I go here regularly. It’s a fun experience. If you’re patient you can find cool things. My biggest complaint is that this is a business that has this very high school environment. For example every morning before the doors open there are literally bottles “saving” spots in line so you can get a cart.so even if you’re in line, everyone that puts a bottle will pass you as if they are more important. As a grown adult if you want something, get it but these stupid games that are being allowed are childish.

Tips For Shopping At Goodwill Bin Stores:

Goodwill bins are one of the places where you have to deal with a lot of pressure. Emotions like fear of missing out (FOMO), getting the most valuable items in your cart, and making fortune from nothing looms over all of the visitors. Amidst all these chaotic voices, you should remain calm and follow the following strategies to get the most out of your trip without taking pressure.

Be As Early As Possible:

Approach the bins store in early opening hours. Bins are usually restocked multiple times a day, but that’s not true for all of the locations. You should call them to check the rotating schedule. If it’s only once per day, then your only chance to get lucky is if you explore the fresh bins.

That way you can surpass others and don’t have to dig through the leftovers of the whole day. All the valuable items would be picked up in a few early hours.

Keep Sanitization Measures Handy:

As you know, bins are the last resort for products that have not been sold anywhere else, or donated to charities. That means they are in use, or at least in contact with a lot of people. You don’t want to interact with items with your bare hands. Use gloves and wear a face mask to keep the dust grains away.

Gloves often tear apart with sweat, as seen in multiple reviews and posts. So it’s better to take multiple gloves with you, that can withstand the pressure of thrifting.

Have Patience To Deal With People:

You should be mentally prepared for some rough language and rude behavior, as everyone is under pressure to dig into the fresh bins. We have seen seniors often reporting about the monopoly of some youngsters, and even middle-aged manly resellers, who won’t give space to others.

This passive-aggressive behavior might be new to you, as it is not seen in regular stores. But expect such behavior to remain calm if such a situation happens to you.

Dig Deep Into Bins:

Unlike regular stores, where all the masterpieces are decorated outside the store to attract customers, here you have to dig deep to extract the treasure. Often valuable items are overlooked just because they are too deep in the bins. No one bothers to explore so deep in a rush and leave behind golden opportunities for calmer people like you.

Another tip is to have an idea of your budget and needs before starting your trip. This will save you from being double-minded and confused at the end.

Get Your Own Baskets:

If you have been to goodwill outlet bin store before, you know how heavy a regular shopper or bag becomes at the end. So it’s always recommended to grab the cart as soon as you enter the mall. Unfortunately, visitors might outnumber the available carts, that’s why you can bring your own basket to be on the safe side.

But don’t make mess out of all the picked items, which will cause confusion at the counter. Instead, keep them at separate baskets or portions, to organize them as per their category.
